Want to Upload or move WorPress site to hosting server or one hosting server to any other hosting server is very simple and easy to do. no need to get any help from any one or no need to use any plugin, you can do by yourself very easily. can’t believe , ok i will show you how.
just follow these 5 simple steps:
1- change your server name
Go to WorPress dashboard click on setting go to general. in “General Settings” you will see “WorPress Address (URL)” just edit the location “localhost/yoursitename” to “http://yoursitename.com”.
Follow the same for “Site Address (URL)”. That’s it see how simple is this.
2- Download SQL database from localhsot
G to your Localhost phpMyAdmin (mysql) click on you database, on top tabs you will see export button just click it. now you can see 2 options “Quick” and “Custom“.
Go with Quick option and click on “Go” button to save your database on your local hard drive.
If your database is big so its good to go with “Custom” option. Just click on Custom radio button and go to Compression drop down option select “gzipped” and click on Go button, save the file to your hard drive.
3- Compress localhost website
To move WorPress site to hosting server you need to upload your localhost files. Go to your www folder in your Localhost server and zip your all WorPress files.
4- Create Database on your cpanel
Go to your cpanel click create new database give the name to database now click add database.
go to add user below database. write your username password and add user, new page will open check all check boxes and create the new user. after this go down and link your database with user.
5- Upload your files to server
Cpanel home go to file manager it will show you all server folders click on www folder and upload your zip file here just Uncompress it.
Now go to your website www.yoursitename.com. You will see WorPress installation process complete it fill the detail your Site name, Database name, Database Username and Password.
Complete the installation process and your site is ready. You need to update all the images link which you are using in your website. Because all the images link is for localhost so go to your posts or pages update your images again.
